Road trip: The entire US West coast (and a bit of Canada)
This summer I'll be coming into a new car currently located in Tucson, AZ. And since it's an amazing driving car, I figured I might as well put it to good use and conquer one of those lingering bucket list goals - driving the entire Pacific coast of the US.
It will be broken up into bits - first I'll start by getting home from Tucson via San Diego, LA, and the CA central coast. I'm probably looking at a four or five day weekend for that leg, mainly because the only part of it that will be a new experience for me is LA to Monterey via Highway 1.
The next one is the major ride, going up the CA coast from Mendicino all the way up through Oregon to Aberdeen, WA (Kurt Cobain's hometown). From there I'll head up to Vancouver, and on the way back down I'll save some time on the interstates and hit Seattle and Portland in the process. This will probably take me two weeks.
Looking forward to this, especially as my interests in photography and video are being rekindled. That will probably be a big creative element of the trip, so expect updates as you know my geeky ass will have WiFi / 3G riding shotgun.
